As your buying agent, we will begin by first determining what your property requirements are and what you can afford.  Based on this information, we will scour the MLS listings (and FSBOs as well) and make inquiries to narrow down the search to properties that match your criteria.  We promise to keep our fingers on the pulse of the market by keeping an eye on the hottest properties and by reviewing daily market activity reports.  This is where our expertise in the local real estate market really comes in handy.  Once we have a list of potential properties, we will set appointments and take you out to tour the homes until we find the perfect property for you.

Buying a home is a complicated process and there is no shortage of legal, financial and real estate lingo that goes along with it which can be quite confusing to someone who doesn't live in the real estate world 24x7.  When the buyers understand the process, the entire transaction is smoother and less frustrating for everyone involved.  Depending on what type of property you’re looking for (condo, co-op, single-family home), the buying process will be a little different.  State & local laws also vary quite a bit.   Don't try to go it alone as you will often overlook details which can end up causing delays or worse, costing you money.  Hire us as your agent and we will work hard to educate you on the process so you are the most informed buyer you can be.

The home buying process requires the help of a number of professionals. You’ll need a home inspector to check for any problems with the property. Some states require that an attorney be present to close any real estate sale. If you need a mortgage then you’ll need a mortgage broker. Then there are the professionals you may need after the purchase such as contractors and architects if you’re planning on any renovations. As your buying agent, we will provide you with the list of professionals we have worked with in the past.
